Kirton Town v Pointon

6.15pm  10 April 2015

Kirton Cup, Semi Final
Kirton Town 1 Pointon 3 (att 35)

Kirton Town and Pointon had a break from Boston League football to battle for a place in the final of the four-team Kirton Cup, played every year at Town's Graves Park ground.

The visitors will play the winners of next Friday's second semi final, between FC Kirton and Sutterton, after coming from behind for a deserved win.

Kirton Town went ahead in the first couple of minutes, but Pointon were level before half time. The visitors were on top for the second half, scoring twice. Kirton worked hard to get back into the game, but never really looked like doing so.

Graves Park is a pleasant tree-lined recreation ground, with a social club and car park. There's even a floodlit training area, shielded from nearby houses by a line of tall trees. My first game at a Boston League venue, but based on this I look forward to visiting more.
