Thetford Town v Hadleigh United

3pm  6 April 2013

Eastern Counties League, Premier Division
Thetford Town 1 Hadleigh United 3 (att 36)

Hadleigh can't have had many easier matches all season than this, and the success of Thetford's battle to avoid relegation is more likely to be decided by how many teams are actually relegated, instead of their own ability to stay out of the bottom three.

I think Thetford's goal, an 84th minute penalty, may have been their first shot on target all game. By that stage they'd already conceded three. Hadleigh scored the only goal of a one-sided first half, and added two more after the interval as they eased to a win.

The main feature of Thetford's ground is a nice old stand, but the rest of the venue was a bit a disappointment. The far side, opposite the stand, is out of bounds to spectators, while the two ends are just open flat standing.
