Manchester Saturday Morning League, Division Two

Opening day of the Manchester Saturday Morning League season, and a harsh introduction for newcomers George.
The league doesn't offer a great standard of football, but it's a useful way of getting to a few extra grounds close to home. George are based at Chassen Road in Flixton, immediately next door to Northern Premier League Trafford FC.
As you'd expect at this level, there's no facilities other than a pitch and changing rooms, but there's only one pitch and it has an enclosed feel, surrounded by houses, flats, Trafford's ground and a railway line.
Not much to say about the game, other than there was huge gulf between the teams. The visitors were 5-0 ahead by half time, two of them penalties. Could be a long and difficult season for George.
