Sutherland AFA, Pattison Cup 1st Round
Helmsdale United 1 Dornoch City 3 (att 23)
All the goals in the first half of a reasonably entertaining tie at Couper Park, adjacent to the A9 and high above Helmsdale village.
Judging by the league table this was a surprise result, but apparently Helmsdale rested a few players as they're "concentrating on the league" this year ... not sure why as with only six teams the league and cup schedule is hardly onerous.
Nice to finally see a game here, having driven past the venue countless times.
